چکیده

The spotted lanternfly, Lycorma delicatula (White) (Hemiptera: Fulgoridae), was first detected in the United States Berks County, Pennsylvania, 2014. Native to China, this phloem-feeding planthopper threatens agricultural, ornamental, nursery, and timber industries its invaded range through quarantine restrictions on shipments, as well impacts plants themselves. long-term of L. feeding tree species have not been studied North America. Using standard dendrochronological methods cores taken from trees with differing levels infestation systemic insecticidal control, we quantified impact annual growth four Pennsylvania: Ailanthus altissima, Juglans nigra, Liriodendron tulipifera , Acer rubrum . results suggest that is associated diminished A. altissima but no change observed any other tested. also insecticides mitigate growth.

An Old Remedy for a New Problem? Identification of Ooencyrtus kuvanae (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae), an Egg Parasitoid of Lycorma delicatula (Hemiptera: Fulgoridae) in North America

Spotted Lanternfly, Lycorma delicatula (White) is a recently introduced pest of Tree-of-Heaven, Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle in North America. Natural enemy surveys for this pest in Pennsylvania in 2016 recovered an encyrtid egg parasitoid from both field collections and laboratory rearing of field-collected L. delicatula egg masses. Both molecular and morphological data confirm that the...

Relating antennal sensilla diversity and possible species behaviour in the planthopper pest Lycorma delicatula (Hemiptera: Fulgoromorpha: Fulgoridae)

Antennal sensory units in nymphs and adults of the spotted Lanternfly, Lycorma delicatula (White) (Hemiptera: Fulgoromorpha: Fulgoridae), an economically important plant pest, are studied with scanning electron microscopy. Sensilla trichodea / chaetica type recognition is based on their external morphology and ratio of their size to diameter. The flagellum Bourgoin's organ is a complex sensory ...

Adhesive properties of the arolium of a lantern-fly, Lycorma delicatula (Auchenorrhyncha, Fulgoridae).

The arolium in Lycorma delicatula is shaped as a truncated pyramid, tapering proximally. The base or the terminal area is corrugated, forming parasagittal wrinkles (period 1.5-5.0 microm), which are supported from inside by cuticular dendrites. Side faces of the arolium are made up of sclerotized dorsolateral plates. When claws slip on a smooth substrate and pronate, the dorsolateral plates div...

Countercurrent immunoelectrophoresis was used to assay bloodmeals to determine the hostspecificity of Anopheles culicifarics species-A and B, collected from areas in Delhi, Uttar piadesh and Bihar. Results indicated the-predominantly zoophagic nature of species A and B with " r.t"tiullv higher degree of anthropophagy for species A. Furth-er, the human blood index was found to be relatei to the ...
